Let the Games Begin…

We’ve started something that could become a tradition at White Table…something I’m calling Open House & Open Doors, but it really just an excuse for us all to wind down from the week and abuse our livers. This past Friday we moved a couple of white tables out onto our deck, drew all over them with dry erase markers, and then proceeded to use them for beer pong and flip cup. Maybe we should just call it college.

We quickly realized that this was going to become a competition between the Americans and the Brits. You see, we are strangely disproportionate in the amount of English people we get at White Table. This past Friday, they outnumbered the Americans five to four…The teams were as follows:

Team America World Police: myself, Johnny Bond, Ryan, and Alex

Team God Save the Queen: Andrew, Andy, Jackie, Gayle, and Stephen

After one of the longest games of beer pong ever, thanks to the wind and the fact that we had the same number of balls as Lance Armstrong, we (the Americans) took the lead, but due to Johnny Bond’s less than stellar ball boy skills, we lost our ping pong ball to the canal. This was our downfall.

We switched to 4v4 flip cup and were mopped up by the Brits who proved they are really good at two things – flipping cups and drinking.

This is shaping up to be an every Friday event, so pack your coolers and come show off your skills at the White Table Foundation.
