A day in the life…

White Table Foundation - coworking space on Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. There can’t be many better places to work than right  here on Las Olas Boulevard.

Let’s start with the basics; how to get here.  The moment you enter Las Olas Boulevard, you’ll see that the street is something special. If you’re coming by car, we have covered parking right next door or you’ll find spaces on the street nearby. Coming on a bike, motorcycle or scooter? Park right on our gorgeous deck.

If you’re from out of town and don’t have your own transport,  come to us using the Sun Trolley or – even better – the water taxi; start the day with a boat ride.

You’ll love our workspace. Set up your laptop on one of our white tables and you’re ready for work. That is, if don’t spend a few moments gazing out of the long windows at the deck, the canal, the palm trees…

If you’ve been staring at your computer just a bit too long,  go out onto the deck for a breather. Watch for manatees, fish, crabs and any manner of wildlife.

OK, lunchtime.  Of course, you have full use of our kitchen, but why not see what Las Olas has to offer? Right next door, we have a great deli. There’s a chocolate shop/coffee house just across the street. Walk east for a couple of minutes and you’ll find another deli, a pizza place, sushi, a trio of bakeries … let’s look at it this way, you certainly won’t starve. And most of our restaurants do takeout / delivery.  Enjoy the Florida weather – grab your to- go food and sit in one of our waterfront parks, watching the boats go by…

If you’re here on a Sunday, visit the gourmet farmers’ market, just a few steps away.

But this isn’t a vacation (or is it?) so back to work. An afternoon break is a great thing though. Take the Sun Trolley to the beach for a short break – it’s only about a mile away at the bottom of the street.

So what does the area have to offer after the day’s work? Plenty. Las Olas is famous for its dining establishments and we’re located within an easy walk of many restaurants in addition to those I mentioned for lunchtime. We have an Asian restaurant right next door and another just across the road.  Italian and Greek food is just a few steps away from our from door. You’ll find that several of our local businesses have specials on Foursquare and Yelp, too.  Dine Italian, Mexican, French, American … or in our great 1930s diner.

And do ask us for recommendations; we know all the best places to go including a few hidden treasures which are off the beaten track.  You’ll also find live music venues just a short walk away. If you used the water taxi to get here, enjoy your mini-cruise home!

Doesn’t this sound like the perfect working day?  Then get in touch and join us.
